Everything that had been predicted for unifying the world is taking place—but the God of the uncorrupted Scriptures was there first, has seen it all, and has given the world an outline of what is happening, warning time and again—’Let no man deceive you’. ‘Be not deceived’. Q20 What challenge does God give to all who have understanding minds when faced with innovative forms of religion and spirituality?
Prove all things. Hold fast that which is good. 1Thessalonians 5:21
NOTE: First of all, this warning today, refers to the Bible, the Word of God. For 300 years and more the King James Bible, from the Textus Receptus, was read and studied and memorised. Many lost their lives at the stake for reading or owning or teaching from even a part of the Bible in their own language. Eventually the Bible became freely available, but the devil then made a new and more subtle attack on the Word of God.
The Bible was revised and many changes made by Rev. Westcott and Rev. Hort. They used sources other than the Textus Receptus. These included Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiaticus, and their resultant new Greek text is the foundation for the modern Bibles being sold today. Here is an enlightening statement from Hort about the changes. ‘I do not think the significance of their existence is generally understood. It is quite impossible to judge the value of what appears to be trifling alterations, merely by reading them one after another. Taken together they have often important bearings which few would think of at first’. Both these men were occultists and founders of the Ghostly Guild. As an end result today, most people believe that Jesus is not God, maybe a created being, maybe not existing before He came to earth. Satan’s working to destroy Christ as divine Saviour is subtle.
Today we have the New International Version, as well as the New World Translation, both at a time when unseen groups of people are working towards a New World Order, when occult ‘religion’ is the adhesive bringing all peoples together. The next stage of the ecumenical movement is the development of an interfaith unity. The mechanisms for this unity are already in place with the Parliament of World Religions, and other world organisations. The United Nations has a Sacred Literature Trust for the promulgation of portions of world sacred writings in one book. There is nothing that Satan, the enemy of God, has left unopposed. God says,’ Prove all things, hold fast that which is good!’
Q21 What did Jesus say about worship that puts the philosophy of man in place of Bible teaching?
This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Matthew 15:8,9.
Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Isaiah 29:13
NOTE: Man-made philosophy has been put in place of the Word of God in worship and study, but Jesus said that such worship is worthless. It is in vain. Here are some of those subjects around which our worship should cluster:
- God says death is a sleep until the resurrection.
Satan says you die and go on living somewhere else
- God says we were made perfect but then fell into sin.
Satan says there was no fall, we are continuing to reach our full potential.
- God says there is a judgement
Satan says there is no sin, no judgement.
- God says Jesus is our Saviour.
Satan says we will find our salvation by looking inside of ourselves.
