And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. Revelation 13:11,12.
NOTE: The only other nation of world importance to arise after 1798 the time of the deadly wound, is the United States of America. It began gently with horns as a lamb, but soon began to speak as a dragon. The dragon in this prophecy is Satan. America is to play a huge supporting role to the plan of Satan to receive by any means, the worship of the world. Here is another instance of Satan, the enemy of God, working through agencies. Without the words of the Bible this would never be recognised.
Revelation 13 reveals that the Papacy and America are to become confederating powers, with America in a supporting role to the Vatican. America will work to deceive the world into worshipping the papacy, and an equivalent that the Bible refers to as the image to the beast. Both the beast and image to the beast will demand homage and worship on pain of sanctions and death. (Revelation 13) The opposition of both America and the Vatican will be towards the 4th of the Ten commandments. This is the only one that states the designation of God as our Lord; gives His function as Creator of all; and by the authority of His creatorship is Lord over heaven and earth. To strike down the heart of the law of God is to overcome God Himself. Satan has a major offensive planned against God, but in the name of religion thereby deceiving many.

That the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. 2 Thessalonians 2:3,4.
NOTE: This is Satan himself sitting where he always wanted to be. Sin began with Satan, so he can rightly be called the man of sin.
