Q1 How does prophecy reveal that Satan delegates his work to other agencies?
The dragon (Satan) gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. Revelation 13:2
And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things. Revelation 13:5
And power was given unto him. Revelation 13:5
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. Revelation 13:7
And power was given him over all kindreds and tongues and nations. Revelation 13:7
NOTE: Here we have both a ‘giver’ and a ‘recipient’ for five authorities and powers.
- The giver is Satan under the prophetic name of ‘dragon’. ’And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world.’ Revelation 12:9. This one verse identifies Satan by all his Bible names and epithets.
- The recipient is the first beast that John saw in the vision of Revelation 13. From this we can see that Satan has power and great ability and he gives this to an agency to carry out his plans and purposes.
Q2 What is Satan’s aim and objective in this world?
I will be like the most high. Isaiah 14:14
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2 Thessalonians 2:4
