Q5 What three establishing factors does the dragon, Satan, give to the composite beast and world power, his acting agent?
And the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. Revelation 13:2
NOTE: It is interesting to note that just as Robert Schuman refers to Europe as the ‘High Authority’, the Bible refers to the same power in its global phase as having ‘great authority’. This great authority was conferred on this agent by Satan. The Holy Roman Empire that is being rebuilt, will spread from Europe to cover every nation, kindred, tongue and people.
Q6 The little horn of Daniel 7 and the conglomerate beast of Revelation 13 are parallel prophecies. What are the factors given in the Bible that identify this power?
- He shall speak great words against the Most High; a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies
- Wear out the saints of the Most High
- Shall think to change times and laws
- An identical time prophecy of 1260 days/years is given is given for both the little horn and the conglomerate beast.
‘They shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of times.’ Daniel 7:25
‘And power was given him for 42 months.’ Revelation 13:5
NOTE: By an understanding of these time prophecies, both the little horn of Daniel 7 and the first beast of Revelation 13 can be identified as the same power. This time prophecy, another identifying factor, is spoken of in the Bible on seven occasions. This gives it more emphasis than any other Bible time prophecy. It identifies the enemy of God. This prophecy is recognised to begin in AD 538 with the establishment of the Papacy. Prior to this date the little horn pushed up and destroyed three powers (Vandals, Heruli and Ostrogoths) to rise to pre-eminence. Taking a day for a literal year in prophetic time this period ended in 1798 after 1260 years of papal supremacy. The event which marked the end of this time was the captivity of the Pope by the French General Berthier in 1798.
Prophecy refers to this event as a deadly wound, but that deadly wound will be healed. The healing began in 1929 with the treaty with Mussolini which gave the Pope sovereign status within the Vatican. Thereafter world adulation would be unstoppable as the wound heals rapidly and the Roman beast power resumes its authority. The Vatican is a very small nation in size, but from it, ambassadors go to the world, as well as advisors to governments and political parties of those countries. The Vatican is maybe the most influential and wealthiest of any powers in the world today, skilfully influencing world policy and finance towards a One World Government. Today the extent of its power and influence is well established and deepening. When the Pope travels to different countries thousands flock to see him, in his spiritual role.
The Papacy alone uniquely fits all these characteristics and this time scale. It is because its system and policies are inspired by the supernatural power of the dragon that this power has consistency and unfailing plans from one century to another. Purely human institutions are unable to hold their focus and authority nor to continue to increase in power and resources with so much world influence from one generation to another.
