And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. Acts 10:42
Because he [the Father] hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; Acts 17:31
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Revelation 22:11,12.
NOTE: Since He went back to heaven Jesus has always been our advocate, the Intercessor between the Father and sinners. Jesus went back to heaven with a human body which He still has. Jesus is called the Comforter. In the Psalms it says, The Lord is on my side. Psalm 118:6. But the judgement of good and evil will not continue forever. It will end. At that time Jesus is no longer our Advocate, but the One who begins to carry out the rewards and sentences. The destiny of each of us has then been decided once and for all. Jesus has done all He can to show us the paths that lead to life and not death. His salvation work for us is finished. It is over. He is no longer a High Priest for us.
Q17 What stirring appeal does Peter leave with us in the Bible?
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness. 2 Peter 3:10,11
Q18 In what role will Jesus return to this world?
I give thee charge … That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords. 1 Timothy 6:13-16
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Revelation 19:16
NOTE: The work of Jesus in heaven for sinners is finished. He is no longer a priest or a servant. All who have chosen to be part of His kingdom of glory have taken their stand against the evil and wiles of Satan. Jesus has now become our King and the nations of earth are blown away as the dust of the harvest. May Jesus’ work for you not be in vain.
