Q12 What other daily work does He do?
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. Acts 10:43
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. Romans 3:25
Q13 How is He able to do this?
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Ephesians 1:7
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:5,6.
NOTE: Because we have sinned and broken God’s law, we could by rights expect to lose our life. But Jesus loves so greatly those who sin, that He died in our place. We are able to walk free from the guilt of our sin and be clean and washed. His good life is put in our account, in the place of our past sins. It appears as if we have never sinned, When we pray to ask for cleansing, we cannot see Him into heaven doing this, or even sometimes feel any different here on earth, but if Jesus has said it, He will do it. He keeps His promises. We have to believe and take Him at His word, because He has promised it.
Q14 What is the final work of the gospel that Jesus is involved in?
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. Daniel 7:9,10.
Q15 What is the judgement looking for?
Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Malachi 3:16,17.
I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Daniel 7:13,14.
Q16 When the judgement is ended and the contest between good and evil, Christ and Satan is over, what role will Jesus take? |
