Q5 How does the Bible describe the seed of Satan?
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning … he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:44
O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord. Acts 13:10
The children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 1 John 3:10
Q6 The Bible shows that there are within the human race those who are the children of God. How are they described?
Noah was a just man and a perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. Genesis 6:9
Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he. Genesis 6:22
Speaking of Daniel God said to him, O man greatly beloved. Fear not, peace be unto thee. Daniel 10:19
For both he that sanctifieth and they that are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren. Hebrews 2:11
Q7 Promises of blessing were made to others in the line of the seed of the woman. Who were they?
Know ye therefore that they which are of faith the same are the children of Abraham … So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. Galatians 3:7,9.
Q8 The Bible, however, shows One who is more specifically the ‘seed of the woman’. Who is this?
Till the seed should come to whom the promise was made … Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many, but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. Gal 3:16,19.
NOTE: From this we can see that embodied in the Promise was a prophecy of Jesus Christ.
Q9 Why was the coming of Christ to our world to be so valuable to us all?
Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil. Hebrews 2:14
For in that he hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. Hebrews 2:18
Q10 What other evidences of Satan was the coming of Christ to destroy?
For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
NOTE: The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life are the basis and summary of all the sins of our lives, theft, adultery, war, anger, murder, even disease as we indulge our lusts of appetite.
