At-a-glance …

Blame began in the Garden of Eden.

Adam blamed His wife and blamed God

Eve blamed the serpent

The serpent misrepresented God. And God’s government.

God gave Satan a chance to show what His kingdom would be like

Then He holds a judgement to make a final decision

Who was speaking the Truth?

them drink of the river of thy pleasures.  For with thee is the fountain of life. Psalm 36:8,9.

Q19 What challenge does God give to each one of us who reads the Scriptures?

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve.  Joshua 24:15

How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. 1 Kings 18:21

NOTE:  God never forces us to follow His way but gives us the choice.  He invites us to try Him, to prove Him, to reason with Him and evaluate the evidence, then make a decision.

SUMMARY BOX

Does God deserve to be blamed?  The problems of this world do not originate with God but with Satan.  He does nothing good, so all the greed, disease, famines, wars and sorrows in the world stem from his desire to control.  God has placed the written scriptures in the world to explain these things to us.  God’s thoughts towards us are good and loving.   By contrast do you like Satan’s way of ruling?  God does not deserve to be blamed.

A VERSE TO LEARN

I will never leave thee nor forsake thee, so that we may boldly say, the Lord is my helper.  Hebrews 13:5
