At-a-glance …

Blame began in the Garden of Eden.

Adam blamed His wife and blamed God

Eve blamed the serpent

The serpent misrepresented God. And God’s government.

God gave Satan a chance to show what His kingdom would be like

Then He holds a judgement to make a final decision

Who was speaking the Truth?

with its force and cruelty, has been fully demonstrated and all have made their choice then God can bring it to an end.  This is why the Bible speaks of wheat and tares, sheep and goats, good and evil. We will all be on one side or the other.  At the end there will be no uncertainty.

The Bible is the Word from God that has been placed in this world and is available to each of us.  God reveals to us in the Book, what He has already foreseen so that we can share His advantage and know how to make our choices.  It is clear to see why the devil is so angry, going about like a roaring lion, seeking whom He may devour.  He can study the Bible too, he has seen his end and he is filled with wrath at being thwarted.  Now all he can do is deceive the people who were made in the image of God and take them to destruction with himself. All this explains why we find Satan’s attacks on the Bible, substituting with great subtlety the place of Christ by putting himself in the words, omitting some phrases, confusing all the different versions, and quoting it to support his own teachings.  He is still aiming to receive the spiritual worship of the world.

Q9 Who will God make the judge of this world in the judgement?

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.  And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: Him God raised up the third day, and showed him openly ... And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.  Acts 10:38-42

NOTE:  Jesus will be our judge in the judgement.

Q10 How is Jesus Christ qualified to judge between good and evil?

Jesus the son of God … was in all points tempted like as we are yet without sin.
Hebrews 4:14,15.

God sending His own Son in the likeness if sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh. Romans 8:3

Thou [Jesus] camest down also upon Mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them … good commandments

NOTE:  This is entirely good and just.  Jesus Christ is God. It was He who gave the law .  It is Jesus’ law that is being questioned in the conflict.  Jesus then came from heaven to earth and lived here with us on our terms and felt the force of Satan’s temptations and cruelty.  Even under the harshest provocation and temptation He maintained His purity.   More than that He has left us an example and says to us, Come boldly unto the throne of grace to find His grace to help in time of need.  Hebrews 4:14-16   He will prove a fair judge.

Q11 When will this judgement take place

He that is filthy let Him be filthy still… and He that is holy let Him be holy still. And behold I come quickly and my reward is with me to give every man according as His work shall be.  Revelation 22:11,12.

NOTE: The judgement will take place just before the Second Coming of Jesus.  Before that event the verdict will have been declared and destinies will have been decided for ever, with no changes to be made later.
