Q1 Human beings immediately put the blame on God for anything that happens, but how do the angels consider God?
They rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is and is to come. Revelation 4:8
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing. Revelation 5:12
Q2 Where and when did the concept of blame begin?
And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and His wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the Garden. And the Lord God called unto Adam and said unto Him where art thou … hast thou eaten of the tree whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldst not eat? And the man said, The woman that thou gavest me to be with me, she gave me of the tree and I did eat. Genesis 3:8-12
NOTE: Blame was the first reaction of Adam when He was in trouble in the garden of Eden having broken the commandment and taken the fruit that God said was not for them to eat.
He blamed the woman whom he said gave him the fruit to eat. Eve had not made him put the fruit to his lips. Adam did that by his own choice.
But Adam did not stop there. He said the problem was the woman God had given him. God was now charged with the blame, as God had given Him the woman.
We can recognise these same responses today when we get caught out in sin, doing what God has commanded us not to. We blame others; we blame God.
Q3 How did the atmosphere of blame continue in the Garden of Eden with Eve?
And the Lord God said, what is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me and I did eat. Genesis 3:13
Q4 What was the result of this sin and blame for Adam and Eve?
Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden … So He drove out the man. Genesis 3:23,24. |
