And there fell upon men great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent. The plague thereof was exceeding great.Revelation 16:17-18.
Q5 What prophecy and warning given by God is fulfilled in the plagues?
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God. Revelation 14:9,10
And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. Revelation 15:1
And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. Revelation 15:7
Q6 When plagues were poured upon Egypt what was the focus of God’s anger?
For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I [am] the LORD. Exodus 12:12
NOTE: The Creator God is the only God and He warned that if the worship and honour due to Him were to be given to others, then there would be marked signs of His displeasure. ‘I am the Lord your God.’ His intention is to restore the honour of His name and character, as the living God. ‘For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.’ God looked also at the heart of the one who ‘separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart’. God looked too on the makers of the idols that put the alternative worship in place, leading people away from the Creator God.
Q7 Are the seven last plagues the result of natural causes or a retribution from God?
And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled. Revelation 15:7,8. |
