PRAY

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.  For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. James 1:6,7

But in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  Philippians 4:6

Q10 What powerful Bible image shows that these activities are part of a warfare requiring our full involvement?

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Ephesians 6:10-13

NOTE:  To be half hearted or drowsy will be to leave lethal chinks in our thinking and reasoning.  Satan is 100% against God. He is always active.  Does God have any people made in His image who will choose to 100% for Him?  This means to be as a serving soldier on enemy territory.

Q11 How many of Satan’s deceptions are we promised that we will be able to overcome?

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance.  Ephesians 6:14-18.

Q12 In reality where do we need to put on this armour?

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.  1 Peter 1:13

Q13 How do these strong pictures become real in our lives?

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.  2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist stedfast in the faith. 1 Peter 5:8,9

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called. 1 Timothy 6:12
