In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream and told the sum of the matters. Daniel 7:1
NOTE: Daniel told the words to those around him, but he also down what God had shown him, giving us those words today. Daniel 7 speaks of things right to the end of time. The ones chosen by God were of a holy character. They did not decide to be prophets themselves but were selected by God for the purpose of truthfully communicating God’s words and recording them.
Q7 For whom was the Bible especially intended?
Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 1 Corinthians 10:11
But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Danierl 2:28
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 Timothy 3:1
NOTE: All the major time prophecies conclude at time of the last generation of this world, as do the events that are recorded, such as pestilence, famine, earthquakes, and the workings of the world toward unity and peace. The Bible is as current as today’s newscast.
Q8 On the subject of good and evil, what does the Bible say about the origin of evil?
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: He was cast out into the earth and His angels were cast out with Him. Rev 12: 9
And the Lord God said unto the woman. What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, the serpent beguiled me , and I did eat. Genesis 3:13
(God had said specifically - Thou shalt not eat. Genesis 2:16,17)
Q9 What encouragement do the scriptures give regarding the complete and utter end of evil?
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone. Revelation 20:10
I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. Ezekiel 28:18
For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. Malachi 4:1
Q10 Our world will be destroyed violently. How does the Bible counsel us to live in this time of preparation?
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be, in all holy conversation and godliness. 2 Peter 3:10;11. |
