Q1 How does the Bible describe our world?
Who gave himself for our sins, that he [Jesus] might deliver us from this present evil world. Galatians 1:4
Q2 Can we have any hope that this evil will ever be finished and done away with?
And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. Isaiah 13:11
NOTE: It is in the prophecies of the Bible that God gives us the hope and encouragement that there will be an end to evil and that He will step in and destroy the proud the arrogant and the haughty, ‘and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth’ Revelation 11:18 God is interested in the sufferings of individuals too, and promises that they will end too. ‘And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
