Q1 What hope can be ours?

Q2 What was the promise that God made?
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: Isaiah 65:17
Q3 What will happen to the world as we know it, and to the heavens above?
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10
Q4 Before God cleanses the earth and all the places in the heavens where there has been evil or pollution, where will He take His people?
To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you. 1 Peter 1:4
NOTE: This will not be the final home of the righteous, but a place of deliverance at the second coming of Jesus. They will have been persecuted, suffered the hardships of jail, the exaggerated climactic effects, and not known where their next meal of bread and water is coming from. But through it all they have remained true to God, and trusted Him, been living witnesses for Him, looking forward to the time when Jesus comes back.
Q5 What will the earth be like after the upheavals of the Second Coming?
The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness. Zephaniah 1:14,15.
They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: Jeremiah 16:4
